Terms and Conditions

Herewith are our main terms and conditions of transaction. We encourage that you read and understand the various policies highlighted. Fairdeal Furniture shall assume acceptance of the same once you transact with us.

Warranty of Products

  • Fairdeal Furniture does not grant any warranty, either implied or expressed to products sold.We will therefore not be held liable for direct, indirect, consequential or punitive damages related to the products sold.
  • Products which are on sale, promotion and special offer have a fixed price and no further reduction is applicable on these products.
  • All products are subject to stock availability and accessories displayed on the images are not included.

Paymnet Methods

  • All prices displayed on the items are in Kenya Shillings and are inclusive of 16% VAT.
  • We accept payment via cash, m-pesa, credit card, cheque or direct transfer to our bank account. To protect your security and to prevent credit card fraud where possible, we reserve the right for proof of Identity on ALL purchases.
  • Deliveries of purchases via credit card and banker’s draft will only be made once the cheque or banker’s draft clears from the bank within 4 working days.

Claims & Returns

  • If the furniture product(s) delivered to your premises is faulty, please inform the showroom within 24 hours and we will arrange a technician to visit and inspect the fault or damage. If the fault or damage is irreparable, the piece will be replaced with another if in stock. If not, a credit note of a similar value will be issued. However this will not apply to the extent that fault is caused by abuse, misuse, or damage through accident or neglect.
  • If purchasing a mattress, please ensure the mattress size is as per your bed size. Check the length, width and height of the mattress being purchased. Cancellation on special order mattresses will not be entertained.
  • The dimensions of all our products are mentioned on our sites – fairdealfurniture.co.ke and ashleyfurniturehomestore.co.ke. So, please take note of these before confirming purchase of the same as we do not take back products if they do not enter the doors / lifts of your building or fit well in your homes or offices.
  • Cancellations must be advised directly to the showroom of purchase no later than three (3)working days prior to the scheduled delivery date. We will not accept cancelled orders after this time.
  • Cancellations are subject to 20% deduction from total cost of the product. Delivery charges will not be refunded if we attempted to deliver goods.
  • Please choose carefully as we don’t normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make the wrong decision. Exchanges and refunds can be given where goods are faulty and cannot be replaced or rectified.

Storage

  • Items purchased will not be reserved until a minimum of 50% of the value of the invoice has been paid. Maximum storage time in our warehouse is not more than 7 days as delays in accepting delivery by you results in us incurring additional storage and insurance costs. In the event that you fail to take delivery within 7 days of notification by us, we will charge you for those costs at a rate of KShs. 1000/= per day per order.
  • No lay bys available for any items on Sale promotion & Special Offer.

Delivery

  • We will not be held responsible for any late delivery or failure to deliver due to “act of God” circumstances. In case of changes of availability for delivery, kindly advise us at least 2 days in advance to help avoid any inconveniences.
  • On delivery, the recipient will be required to sign a delivery form acknowledging that the goods were delivered in good condition; we shall not be held liable for any claims after this.
  • Where the purchaser requests the merchandise to be left unattended upon delivery, we will not be in a position to accept responsibility for any loss or damage or theft that might occur thereafter.
  • Same day deliveries are only dependent on the delivery schedule of the day.
  • Note that our delivery van drivers are instructed to bring your purchase through the main entrance, to avoid any unwelcome surprises, please inform our staff at the time of purchase of any special delivery requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are delivered to the house or office of your choice. We will only deliver beyond the entrance of the premises at your risk.
  • Deliveries will be done with 2-4 days of purchase. All delivery charges are fixed as quoted.
